Release time:2015-06-10

With the globalization of the knowledge economy, patent has become a strategic resource for industrial development and core market competitiveness for multinational enterprises. Under the guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Office, this seminar was held by the Dongguan Municipal Intellectual Property Office and was co-organized by the Dongguan robotics industry association and ACIP.

The seminar focused on two topics: The innovation rules for Industrial Robot and the construction within the field of industrial robot. Government Officers from the Intellectual Property Office (at the state, provincial and municipal level), Economic and Technological Bureau and professionals from Robotics Industry Association and ACIP were invited to deliver speeches and exchange views on the topic of Patent Navigation Seminar of Industrial Robot. This seminar, guided by the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress, was aimed to implement the innovation-driven strategy and intellectual property strategy, enhance innovation-driven capacity through patent system, and carry out the industrial robot transformation and upgrading in the Pearl River Delta.

Mr. Jie HU, the executive partner of ACIP, said that China is an important and big market of industrial robots with abundant patents in the process of the industrial automation and upgrading, while the per capita of patent is pretty low. Besides, many patents are still in the universities which the industrial conversion rate is low. This seminar would enhance the transformation and upgrading of industrial robot in Dongguan, the Pearl River Delta and even the entire country to attach importance on the technology convention to productivity rather than the rapid growth in patent numbers.
