Mr. Jie HU is an experienced patent attorney who has developed a successful practice in intellectual property (IP), benefiting from his multidisciplinary educational background incorporating biochemistry and IP laws.
Mr. HU has over twenty years of experience in the IP sector, including years working as an in-house IP counsel at a leading hi-tech company. Such valuable experience has equipped him with extensive knowledge and insights into both intellectual property laws and business management.
Mr. HU's practice spans all areas of intellectual property. He has established a wide and well-developed practice in patent and trademark prosecution, litigation, as well as IP strategies counseling and IP portfolio management. In his patent practice, he specializes in the fields of biology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals, and has achieved significant success in a number of international IP litigations with profound impacts. He is also contributing to public patent information service, and has joined several government and business IP strategy making projects that work on patent forewarning, patent layout and the like.
Mr. HU has a keen interest in international communication in the IP industry. He is a frequent visitor to law firms and IP-intensive businesses in the United States, Europe and Asia, exchanging experience and updates on IP laws and developments. In addition, he actively attends international IP conferences and forums held by INTA, AIPLA, AIPPI and the like. He is also a member of ACC and PIC of INTA.
Mr. HU founded Advance China IP Law Office (ACIP) in 1999 and has been the firm’s managing partner ever since. Now ACIP has grown into one of the leading IP-firms in China, with over 550 specialists providing extensive IP services to both domestic and international clients from the firm’s offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and San Francisco.
