Mr. QI is a licensed Patent Attorney and an Attorney-at-Law. He joined ACIP in 2016 and currently works at its Beijing Office. He is in charge of patent invalidation and litigation matters.
Before joining ACIP, Mr. QI had served as a senior examiner for over 10 years at the Patent Reexamination Board of the State Intellectual Property Office and handled over 1000 patent reexamination cases. Therefore, he has thorough knowledge of Patent related laws and legislations as well as of the proceedings of patent application, patent reexamination, patent invalidation and litigation. His experience has made himself a master of patent search and analysis, patent reexamination, patent invalidation, administrative litigation and patent infringement litigation. His expertise lies in Mechanics, Material, Electronics and etc.
Mr. QI has been engaged in the fourth amendment of Patent Law and relevant amendments of its Implementing Regulations and Examination Guidelines. He’s also engaged in the stipulation of other patent related administrative rules such as the Guidelines for The Determination of Patent Infringement. He had been trainer and lecturer at the Patent Reexamination Board of SIPO and published dozens of articles.
